I’ve always been intrigued by the idea of starting the day on the right foot, but it wasn’t until recently that I stumbled upon a summary of a book that truly captured my attention—The Miracle Morning by Hal Elrod. The concept is simple yet powerful: the way you start your morning sets the tone for the rest of your day. So, I’ve decided to give this routine a try for at least 21 days and see how it impacts my life.
What Is the Miracle Morning?
The Miracle Morning routine is built around six practices that are designed to help you become more focused, energized, and productive. These practices, known as “SAVERS,” are:
- Silence – This can be meditation, deep breathing, prayer, or any form of quiet reflection.
- Affirmations – Positive statements that reinforce your goals and self-belief.
- Visualization – Mentally picturing yourself achieving your goals.
- Exercise – Engaging in physical activity to get your blood pumping and your energy levels up.
- Reading – Gaining knowledge or inspiration by reading something uplifting or educational.
- Scribing – Writing down your thoughts, goals, or anything that comes to mind.
Why 21 Days?
It’s said that it takes 21 days to form a habit, which is why I’ve committed to trying this routine for three weeks. I’m curious to see how consistently practicing these six habits will influence not just my mornings, but my entire day—and perhaps, eventually, my life.
Day 1: The Start of Something New
On the first day, I woke up earlier than usual, which was surprisingly not as difficult as I thought it would be. I began by spending a few moments in prayer, setting an intention for the day, and grounding myself in peace.
Next, I moved on to journaling and practicing gratitude, writing down the things I was thankful for that morning. This helped me start the day with a positive mindset.
After journaling, I spent some time reading a chapter from a personal development book. The insights I gained left me feeling inspired and motivated.
Afterward, I decided to combine exercise and affirmations by going for a walk while listening to positive affirmations. The fresh air and uplifting words energized both my body and mind.
I ended the routine by visualizing myself achieving my goals. This last step felt surprisingly empowering and left me feeling motivated and ready to tackle the day ahead.
Initial Impressions
After just one day, I noticed a subtle yet noticeable shift in my mood. I felt more centered, focused, and ready to tackle the day. The combination of silence, gratitude, reading, affirmations, and physical activity seemed to create a perfect balance of calm and energy.
The Journey Ahead
I’m excited to see how the next 20 days will unfold. Will the Miracle Morning truly transform my days? Will these small, consistent actions lead to a more productive and fulfilling life? Only time will tell, but I’m optimistic.
Stay tuned for updates on my progress—here’s to the start of something new and potentially life-changing!
