Why Do Developers Put ’01’ Houses Next to ’07’ Houses?

As a delivery driver, I’ve noticed something interesting: why do developers sometimes put houses with numbers ending in ’01’ right next to houses ending in ’07’? When the house numbers are in script or serif fonts, the ‘1’s sometimes look like ‘7’s, and it can be easily mixed up.

Imagine trying to deliver a package, and the ’01’ and ’07’ look almost identical because of the font. It can definitely make things a bit tricky. I bet visitors and even emergency services might find it confusing too.

It seems like a small thing, but clear house numbers are important. Maybe developers could think about this when planning the numbering. A little change could make things a lot easier for everyone.
